What a Meet & Assist Executive does

Landside and through the terminal, on your feet across a full shift, tied to flight banks rather than office hours — a discreet, guest-facing role where anticipation matters more than procedure.

Meeting the assigned guest at the agreed point and staying with them through the terminal.

Escorting through check-in, immigration, security and the lounge without avoidable queues.

Coordinating porter, buggy and wheelchair support before the guest arrives.

Tracking live flight status and rebuilding the plan when the schedule moves.

Liaising with airline, security, immigration and lounge teams to keep the transit clean.

Completing the service record and guest feedback for every assignment.

Meet & Assist Executive — FAQs

What does a meet and assist executive do at the airport?+

They meet a named passenger at the kerb, gate or aerobridge and escort them through check-in, immigration, security and the lounge, coordinating porter, buggy and wheelchair support and handing the guest over at the gate or the car. The work is about removing friction before the guest notices it.

What qualifications do I need for a meet and assist job?+

Most meet-and-assist roles are open to 12th-pass candidates. Confident spoken English, warmth, observation and grooming matter more than a specific degree. You will also need an Airport Entry Permit after police verification, and BCAS-approved AVSEC awareness training, both arranged through the employer.

Can freshers get meet and assist jobs at airports?+

Yes. It is one of the more accessible entry points into airport work, because the core skill — anticipating what a guest needs next — is temperament rather than experience. Joining the InternAVIA Placement Desk bench means our team can consider you as requirements open at your chosen airports.

Is meet and assist the same as ground staff?+

It overlaps but is not the same. Ground staff covers check-in, boarding and airside work for everyone on a flight; meet and assist is a dedicated, per-guest premium service for a named passenger, usually a business traveller, VIP, family or first-time flyer.

What are the working hours for meet and assist roles?+

Shifts follow flight banks, not office hours — early-morning arrivals and late-night departures are normal, and rosters rotate. It is a genuine 24x7 operation.
