12th pass to graduate, depending on the desk Rotational shifts

No live seat is open for this role today. Registering puts you on our screened Placement Desk bench, and our HR team contacts you when a matching requirement opens at the airport you pick. Roles with a seat open right now are under live placements.

Cargo handling is the freight side of the airport, and it runs on documentation as much as on muscle. You accept and screen consignments, check the airway bill against what is physically in front of you, build and break down ULDs, and keep the warehouse accurate enough that a shipment can be found the moment someone asks.

It spans acceptance counters, the export and import warehouse, special-cargo areas for perishables, pharma and live animals, and dangerous-goods handling — an area where a paperwork error is a safety event, not an admin error.

What you’ll do

  • Accept export consignments and verify against the Master and House Air Waybill
  • Weigh, measure, label and screen cargo before it enters the secure area
  • Build up and break down unit load devices (ULDs) and pallets to the loading plan
  • Handle special cargo correctly — perishables, pharma cold chain, valuables, live animals
  • Process dangerous goods strictly per IATA DGR and the carrier’s acceptance checklist
  • Prepare and check import and export documentation, including customs paperwork
  • Operate warehouse equipment — forklifts, pallet trucks, scales, scanners
  • Maintain warehouse location accuracy so every shipment is traceable
  • Coordinate with customs, airlines and freight forwarders on clearance and release
  • Record damage, shortage and discrepancy honestly and at the time it is found

What we’re looking for

  • 12th pass for warehouse and handling; graduate preferred for documentation desks
  • Comfortable with paperwork and systems — cargo runs on accurate records
  • Physically fit for warehouse work; forklift experience is an advantage
  • Working English for documentation plus the local language for the floor
  • Careful and methodical — in cargo, a small error travels a long way
  • Willing to work nights; freight moves when passengers do not

Clearances and training

Airport work is regulated. These apply to this role, and we tell you before you start — never after. Where training is employer-arranged, we say so.

  • Airport Entry Permit (AEP) with cargo-terminal access after police verification
  • BCAS-approved AVSEC training for cargo, and Regulated Agent regime awareness
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification at the category the role needs
  • Forklift and material-handling-equipment certification where applicable
  • Customs-area access clearance where the desk requires it

Shift reality: Rotational shifts; cargo terminals run through the night when passenger terminals do not.

Where we recruit for this

Pick the airport you can realistically travel to every day — shift rosters start before dawn and end after midnight, so the commute decides more than people expect.
