You will create an account and attach your CV. Free to apply; placement professional fees of ₹5,000 (incl. GST) apply only if you are selected.
No live seat is open for this role today. Registering puts you on our screened Placement Desk bench, and our HR team contacts you when a matching requirement opens at the airport you pick. Roles with a seat open right now are under live placements.
Aviation security is a regulated profession in India, governed by BCAS. Private security staff work alongside CISF on screening, access control and surveillance, and nobody performs a screening duty without a valid BCAS-approved certification — that is a legal requirement, not an employer preference.
The work is X-ray image interpretation, hand-baggage and person screening, access-control verification and hold-baggage screening. It demands sustained concentration: the whole job is noticing the one thing in ten thousand bags that should not be there.
What you’ll do
- Screen passengers, hand baggage and hold baggage at the designated screening point
- Interpret X-ray images and identify prohibited and restricted articles
- Conduct pat-down and hand-held metal detector screening per the standard procedure
- Verify identity and access authorisation at controlled and restricted-area points
- Operate and monitor screening equipment and report every fault immediately
- Enforce the prohibited-items list consistently and without exception
- Support surveillance, patrolling and anti-sabotage checks as rostered
- Follow the escalation and incident procedure exactly during a security alert
- Maintain screening logs and duty records accurately
- Rotate off screening duty at the mandated interval — concentration is regulated for a reason
What we’re looking for
- 12th pass minimum; graduates preferred for supervisory progression
- BCAS-approved AVSEC basic certification — mandatory before any screening duty
- Sustained concentration and disciplined observation through a full shift
- Physically fit; long periods standing and alert
- Impeccable integrity and a clean background — this is a non-negotiable
- Clear communication in English and the local language
- Normal colour vision and visual acuity, as required for X-ray screening duty
Clearances and training
Airport work is regulated. These apply to this role, and we tell you before you start — never after. Where training is employer-arranged, we say so.
- BCAS-approved AVSEC basic training and certification — a legal prerequisite
- Airport Entry Permit (AEP) for the security-restricted area
- Police verification and a stringent background check
- X-ray screener competency certification and periodic recurrent assessment
- Recurrent AVSEC refresher training at the interval BCAS mandates
Shift reality: Rotational 24×7 shifts with mandatory screening-duty rotation limits.
Where we recruit for this
Pick the airport you can realistically travel to every day — shift rosters start before dawn and end after midnight, so the commute decides more than people expect.
