Eligibility for the aviation internship

  • Enrolled in or graduated from aviation, BBA, hospitality, tourism, or related programme
  • Age 18–26 (PM Internship Scheme criteria)
  • Physically fit for shift-based airport work
  • Basic English communication (Hindi is a plus)
  • Willing to relocate to assigned airport city

InternAVIA is a structured 3–6 month aviation internship programme by Elite World Services Ltd (EWS). Students are placed at 67+ Indian airports working in passenger services, lounges, baggage, and airport operations. The programme is aligned with the PM Internship Scheme 2024.
Who can apply for an aviation internship through InternAVIA?+
Students enrolled in aviation management, BBA, hospitality, tourism, or any related programme can apply. Students in their final year or recent graduates are eligible. Both individual and university-sponsored applications are accepted.
Which airports offer internships through InternAVIA?+
InternAVIA currently places interns at 67+ airports across India including Delhi IGI (T1 & T3), Mumbai CSIA, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and more.
Is the internship paid? What is the stipend?+
A monthly stipend is provided by the host airport employer at their discretion. Under the PM Internship Scheme 2024, eligible interns additionally receive ₹5,000 per month directly from the government to their Aadhaar-linked bank account.
What is the duration of the aviation internship?+
Internships are available in 3-month and 6-month tracks. The first 30 days are a probation period during which either party can exit. Active internship runs on shift-based hours (6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm) at the assigned airport.
What happens after completing the internship?+
At the end of the term, your airport supervisor rates you across 5 performance dimensions and you receive an EWS-certified completion certificate. The programme is built to convert strong interns into permanent aviation roles, and high performers are recommended to the host organisation for hire.
What certificate do I get after completing the internship?+
Interns who successfully complete the programme and receive a positive supervisor assessment receive an EWS-certified internship certificate. This is issued digitally and shared via the student portal and email.
Can my university partner with InternAVIA for campus placements?+
Yes. InternAVIA signs MOU agreements with universities under which the programme fee is waived for sponsored students. Universities receive a revenue share per successful placement. Visit internavia.ews.aero/universities to learn more.
