In short

Virtual Aviation Work Simulation — CSA & Check-in is an online course from InternAVIA in which you practise the airport check-in job at a simulated check-in counter: you type the entries, check passports and visas, weigh and tag bags, ask the security questions and look after the passenger, and every shift is scored. It is online and in English, has 8 modules (about 25 hours of study and practice) and runs in a web browser on a phone or computer. Enrolment opens soon; the first 100 people who register hold a founding price of ₹295 instead of ₹590 (GST included).

The same job is also called: check-in agent, customer service agent (CSA), passenger service agent, airport ground staff, airline customer service agent.

Eight shifts, eight passengers

Every passenger brings a different problem to your counter

Overweight bags, a power bank in the suitcase, a declared rifle, a fragile wedding gift, a connection on a partner airline. You decide what to do, the screen answers, and the shift is scored.

The screen you work on

Type the entries. Read the screen. Decide.

A departure control system, built for training: you type short entries the way agents do, it answers in its own codes, and a supervisor can give you a hint when you are stuck. It works on a phone as well as a computer.

Questions

Airport check-in work and this course, answered

What does an airport check-in agent do?
A check-in agent (also called a customer service agent, passenger service agent or airport ground staff) welcomes passengers at the airline counter, checks their booking and travel documents, weighs and tags checked bags, asks the security questions, assigns seats and issues boarding passes, while keeping to the airline's rules and the departure time.
What will I practise in this simulation?
You work simulated check-in shifts at a full check-in screen with a fictional airline: finding the booking, checking passports and visas, weighing bags and charging excess, refusing dangerous items, tagging bags and issuing the boarding pass, and talking to the passenger. Each shift is scored, with feedback on what you missed. The course plan has 8 modules: The CSA shift: role, counter, tools, codes; Travel documents & security questions; PNR, acceptance & seating in the DCS; Baggage: piece/weight, excess, DG, tagging; Boarding gate & flight close; Passengers with reduced mobility & special care; Irregular operations & conflict; Capstone shift.
Who is this course for?
Students, school leavers, graduates and career changers who want to work at an airport, and anyone preparing for an airline or ground-handling interview. No aviation experience is needed. Before you buy, you pass InternAVIA's free course, Aviation Foundations.
Can I join from outside India?
You can register from anywhere, and the course is online and in English. At launch, payment is in Indian rupees through an Indian payment gateway (UPI, Indian cards and Indian net banking); cards issued outside India are not accepted yet. We will email everyone on the list when international payment opens.
How much does it cost?
₹590 in India, GST included. The first 100 people who register on this page hold a founding price of ₹295, held for 7 days from the email that says enrolment is open. Registering is free and takes no payment.
When does it start?
Enrolment opens soon. Everyone who registers on this page gets an email when it opens. You then study online at your own pace, with 28 days of access.
Do I need special software?
No. It runs in a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The check-in system in the course is a simulation built for training, not a real airline system.
What certificate do I get, and is it recognised?
When you complete the course you receive a Certificate of Simulated Work Experience — Customer Service Agent (Check-in), which you can add to your LinkedIn profile in one click. It is issued only when every module's graded shifts reach 60%, the final exam reaches 70% and the capstone shift is passed. It confirms the work you did in the simulation. It is not a licence or a regulated qualification, and it is not approved by any aviation authority, airline or airport.
Can I add the certificate to LinkedIn?
Yes. When your certificate is issued, an “Add to my LinkedIn profile” button opens LinkedIn’s certification form already filled in — name, issuer, month, certificate ID and its public check link — and you press Save. You can also share it as a LinkedIn post with a certificate card. It is listed as a certificate of completion.
Will this course get me a job?
Completing this course or holding its certificate does not guarantee a job, an internship, an interview or a place in any programme.
What is the refund rule?
A full refund while fewer than 25% of the course's lessons have been opened (practice shifts count as lessons). After that, no refund. To ask, write to aviation@ews.aero with your order reference. The rule is shown again before you pay, and the paid course terms at internavia.ews.aero/terms/courses set it out in full.
